Propiedades:
Alnus acuminata es una planta medicinal que pertenece a la familia Betulaceae y es originaria de México. La especie está muy extendida en América Latina desde México hasta Argentina. Los árboles crecen hasta 30 metros de altura y crece en elevaciones más altas desde 1000 hasta 3000 metros. La corteza tiene actividad antibacteriana y antifúngica. Las hojas se utilizan tradicionalmente como un té en cálculos urinarios y el reumatismo.

Las hojas aromáticas y ramas pequeñas de Aerva sanguinolenta se usan como té contra varias enfermedades. Especialmente las enfermedades de los pulmones, resfriados, catarro, anginas, dolor de pecho, y la neumonía son algunas de las aplicaciónes de Escancel. Además, Aerva sanguinolenta se utiliza para tratar la enfermedad renal, infecciones, infecciones de la vejiga, dolores de cabeza, trastornos del hígado y la depresión. Un extracto de Aerva sanguinolenta es utilizado en Pakistán con éxito para la cicatrización de heridas. La planta tiene propiedades diuréticas.
Una infusión de las hojas puede tomar 4-5 minutos.
